The Plymouth Top 100 Cottage Name Countdown

Cottage Names 100 to 96

Cottage names are part of our housing heritage. They carry stories of the past, reflect their surroundings, and still spark the imagination of buyers today.

With the help of our friends at Denton House Research, who analysed Land Registry data from the last 10 years, together we have uncovered the Top 100 most popular cottage names in the UK. Alongside the ranking, we have also looked at the average sale price.

Here are the first five in our countdown:

· 100th – Brookside Cottage
In the last 10 years, coincidental 100 Brookside Cottages have sold, with an average price of £367,116.

· 99th – Gardeners Cottage
101 Gardeners Cottages have sold, averaging £486,018 each.

· 98th – Pond Cottage
102 Pond Cottages have sold, with an average price of £505,659.

· 97th – Smithy Cottage
103 Smithy Cottages have sold, averaging £300,155 each.

· 96th – Woodside Cottage

This is just the beginning of the Great British Cottage Top 100 Countdown.

Next week, we will continue with positions 95 to 91, and we will carry on weekly until we reveal the UK’s number one cottage name in 20 week’s time!
