The Smeaton Tower, Plymouth

Curiosity is usually where the best insights start

I have been having a bit of fun playing around with AI and thought it best to start with something that is local.

This is the Smeaton Tower, but re-imagined as if it were an old architectural blueprint rather than a photograph. It is the same building, same landmark, just viewed through a completely different lens.

It got me thinking; before we jump into writing about prices, supply, demand, or where the local property market is heading, sometimes it helps to change the angle first. Look at familiar places in unfamiliar ways. That is often where the better questions come from.

This is not an analysis yet, it is curiosity. And curiosity is usually where the best insights start.

Most sellers have a clear picture of what they want from the moment their home goes on the market: good photos, on Rightmove, viewings booked. What is less clear is what should be happening in the weeks that follow, and what a genuinely good agent looks like once the initial excitement of launch has settled down.

Welcome to our latest market update for Plymouth. As your local Landmark Estate Agents, we're here to provide clear, fact-led insights into both the sales and lettings markets, helping you understand the current landscape.

Property investment is not a get-rich-quick scheme. Done properly though, in the right location and with the right guidance, it remains one of the most reliable ways to build long-term wealth. Plymouth is a city we know inside out, and we genuinely believe it offers some of the best buy-to-let fundamentals you will find anywhere in the South West.

Everyone wants to buy at the bottom and sell at the top. It is a completely understandable instinct. It is also, in practice, almost impossible to do, and the attempt to do it costs a lot of investors dearly.
